Welcome to Wild Sauna Voss

Located right in the center of Voss, by Vangsvatnet. Our little sauna has a panoramic window, so that you can enjoy the view of the lake while getting warm and cosy. Enjoy a swim in the lake or a cold shower right outside the sauna once you’re feeling hot.

What to bring?

You need your bathing suite, drinking water and a towel to sit on.

How to get there?

The sauna is located behind Park Hote in Voss, facing the lake (Vangsvatnet). Hit this link to open directions in Google Maps.

How does it work? 

Our sauna has a maximum of 8 drop in slots. If you want to have the sauna to yourself, you can book a private session. We allow a maximum of 10 people.

You will receive a code via text and email. Use the code to open the key box on the sauna wall. There you will find the key to open the door. We will make sure the sauna is warm when you arrive. It takes 1-2 hours to heat up in the summer and 2-2.5 hours in the winter. So make sure you book in advance, unless you are at location and see that someone has used it before you. Then it will still be warm.

The sauna has a small changing room, and an outdoor shower. You are welcome to use the toilets in the first floor of Park Hotel, use the glass doors beside the sauna/car park. Make sure you are dry and wearing clothes if entering the hotel.

Our sauna operates under a simple and affordable self-service model. Please help us provide a good experience by respecting the sauna, hotel guests, locals and tourists. Keep noise to a minimum and take trash with you when leaving. All questions regarding the sauna can be directed to us, not to Park Hotel. Please leave the sauna clean and locked when you are finished.

Sauna Booking Rules & Instructions

• Booking Agreement: By booking, you agree not to exceed the number of people allowed per your booking. Random checks will be conducted, and individuals without a booking will be fined 2000 NOK.

• Footwear: No shoes or flip-flops are permitted inside the sauna.

• Safety Around the Oven: Keep buckets, cloths, towels, or any items at least 1 meter away from the sauna oven.

• Emergency Procedures: In case of a fire, please use the fire extinguisher located in the changing room.

• Security: You must lock the sauna after use. You are liable for any damage if you leave it unlocked.

• Liability: The use of the sauna is at your own risk. Wild Sauna Norway, Voss Kommune, or Park Hotel are not liable for any errors, shortcomings, or consequences.

• Damage Responsibility: You are financially responsible for any damage to the sauna or the oven.

• Supervision: Children under 18 must be supervised by an adult.

• Hygiene: For sanitary reasons, please use a towel to sit on.

• Health Precautions: If you feel dizzy, uncomfortable, or sleepy, exit the sauna immediately.

• Hydration: Drink water before, during, and after your sauna session.

• Oven Use: Only use fresh, clean water on the oven. Using anything else incurs a 2000 NOK fine.

• Water Supply: Refill the water bucket from the outdoor shower.

• Safety: Be cautious to avoid falls, especially in low visibility or on slippery surfaces.

• Time Management: Please vacate the sauna promptly at the end of your session to allow for incoming guests.

• Access: Do not enter the sauna outside your booked time.

• Toilet Facilities: Use the toilets at Park Hotel; ensure you are dressed and dry when entering.

• Behavior: Nudity and obscene behavior are not permitted.

• Alcohol: No alcohol consumption is allowed inside or around the sauna area.

• Cleanliness: Leave the sauna clean and tidy, ensuring both doors are closed.

• Refunds: Changes of mind do not qualify for refunds, but rescheduling is available.
